Tara began her career
in health and fitness well before the age of 16, by which
time she had become both a certified lifeguard and
fully-fledged swim instructor. She then competed with
and subsequently coached the Ottawa Valley swim team,
and would eventually round out her fitness fix with
seasonal pursuits in skiing and yacht racing. Tara's
weight-training took a more serious turn in 2000 when
her company participated in the Body for Life Challenge
(through which she dropped from 26% body fat to 13.5%
in 12 short weeks). Galvanized, she followed up with
certification in BCRPA Personal Strength Training in 2001,
completing all 3 levels, and has been CanFitPro certified
since 2002 when she began working with Club Phoenix.
Tara's specialties
include stability training (BALANCE), strength
training (POWER), weight-loss (CUTTING),
increasing muscle-mass (BULKING), and overall
toning & fitness (WELL-BEING). She also provides
general nutritional assistance and meal planning
for those who are too busy to shop or cook,
but with just enough time to eat like a machine.
